More Nirvana Rock Band Tracks!

Three more Nirvana tracks will soon be available for Rock Band. Downloadable versions of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” from Nevermind, “Come As You Are” from MTV Unplugged in New York and “Lithium” from Live At Reading will allow you to live vicariously through Kurt Cobain and company as of December 1st.
Intelligence Agency Using Xbox Live to Attract New Recruits

Those crazy Brits are at it again. The organization responsible for collating intelligence for the British government is using Xbox Live to target potential recruits.
GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters) has launched a recruitment campaign on Microsoft’s Xbox Live portal, aimed at “quick-thinking 18- to 34-year-olds”. The six-week campaign features banner ads, video clips and static advertisements which give more information about GCHQ’s work.

No Doubt Sues Activision Over Band Hero

According to the Los Angeles Times…
Rock band No Doubt has filed a real-world lawsuit over its virtual role in the just-released Band Hero edition of the Guitar Hero video game series, claiming that the game has “transformed No Doubt band members into a virtual karaoke circus act,” singing dozens of songs the group neither wrote, popularized nor approved for use in the game.

Pearl Jam Rock Band in the Works

Pearl Jam are currently working with MTV Games and Harmonix on a special Pearl Jam edition of Rock Band due to be released next year. The band are currently on tour promoting their current full-length Backspacer, which rocks.
