Eagles Lodge Redondo Beach
The historic Eagles Lodge in Redondo Beach, California is for sale. This place might make a great concert hall. Some of the best live shows I’ve ever seen have been in union halls and the like (Suicidal Tendencies at the San Diego VFW, Lemmy and Motorhead at Maritime Hall in San Francisco, and more!)
It’s unlikely you’d be able to put punk or metal bands in the place, but who knows. And the fantastic venue known as Brixton South Bay is right across the street, so you’d be hard-pressed to compete. You’re better off buying the place for your church, charter school or yoga academy. Scientology, maybe?

Planning on going to see Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Religion and a bunch of other great bands at L.A.’s We The People Festival Saturday? Well, it’s time to make other plans ’cause the festival has been postponed due to “ongoing economic challenges.” I suppose that’s as believable as the old “creative differences” line they use when bands break up.
